The NDA alliance looked set for the third term with 293 seats. the BJP, on its own stopped short of majority mark with 240 seats. on the other hand, INDIA alliance claimed 223 seats, where congress party almost doubled its 2019 tally, grabbing 99 seats.

Prior to the election results NDA set the target of 400+ seats but due to some reasons and mistakes, they stopped at just 293 seats, and INDIA alliance claimed to win 295 seats, but comes to an end at 223 seats. Congress Chief Minister Mallikarjun says, it is ‘‘political and moral defeat’’ of Narendra Modi, and Narendra Modi said that, ‘people have placed their faith in NDA for the third consecutive time’.
