Jammu April 02 : Muhammad Faheem Reshi, Chairman Greater Shahr-e-khass, today urged Prime Minster and LG, J&K to conduct the ULB elections in J&K as soon as possible.
Reshi said that ULB elections play a crucial role in strengthening local governance and ensuring that the needs and aspirations of citizens are met effectively.
He also urged the govt to remove the current age restrictions and exceed it upto 50 years.
“Relaxing or extending the age limit would allow capable individuals to participate in the election process and contribute to the betterment of our cities and towns.”
He also requested the government to set the qualification for ULB elections for the same as 10+2.
