In a shocking incident, a 28-year-old cab driver was killed in the Shastri Park area of Delhi. The man was identified as Johar Abbas, a resident of Buland Masjid in the area, was found with multiple stab wounds late on Monday night.
According to the Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP-northeast) Joy Tirkey they received a distress call from a passer-by who noticed the injured man lying on the roadside. When the police arrived at the scene, they found the victim in a critical condition. He was immediately taken to a nearby hospital, but unfortunately, he did not survive to his injuries.
According to police the reason for this incident could be robbery; the victim’s car was found abandoned a few meters away from the crime scene with its doors open and some belongings missing.
The police have registered a case of murder and are conducting a thorough investigation.
