Jammu 06 March : on Wednesday Lt Governor Shri Manoj Sinha chaired the 48th meeting of Shri Amarnath Ji Shrine Board at Raj Bhawan, Jammu.
The holy Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra will commence on 3rd July 2025 via both Baltal & Pahalgam routes and culminate on 9th August (Raksha Bandhan). The Board deliberated on key measures to enhance facilities for pilgrims, including increased lodgement capacity at Jammu, Srinagar & other locations, operationalization of Yatri Facilitation Centres for e-KYC, RFID issuance, and on-spot registration at Nowgam & Katra Railway Stations. The meeting reviewed infrastructure upgrades, track maintenance, medical care facilities, disaster preparedness, security, and digital prepaid services for hiring. LG directed officials to strengthen arrangements en route, improve Yatri Niwas at Pantha Chowk, and ensure seamless services. He also felicitated the Board Members for their contributions. Senior officers of the UT Administration and SASB participated in the meeting.
